We are unable to deliver outside our delivery area. Please ensure that cards have a complete address, including post codes.

It costs just 30p per card. Put your money and your cards into the Scout Post Boxes in: KP Stationers, House of Cards, Feet First Shoe Repairs and Londis (Sinodon Road). Other post boxes can be found in surrounding areas that have a Scout Group taking part.

Thanks from the Local Producers’ Market

Wallingford Local Producers’ Market held their AGM on Saturday 2nd November and 2nd Wallingford Scouts got a mention:

“As ever, we could not manage without the Scouts who cheerfully turn out, week in, week out, to help put out the signs, bring the veg stall tables and put the chairs away after the market as well as managing the outdoor markets.” (Chair’s report)

Fireworks 2019

2nd Wallingford Scouts helped at the Wallingford 1155 Bonfire and Fireworks on Saturday 2nd November.

On Saturday evening, the information and sales tent was manned by 2nd Wallingford and Crowmarsh Scout Groups.

On Sunday morning, 70 people got our of bed to help pick litter.

Band concert and Beavers’ 10th Birthday

On Sunday 23rd June 2019, 2nd Wallingford Scouts celebrated 10 years of Beavers. The occasion was marked with a bee-autiful cake and highlights from the last 10 years.

The AGM was followed by a concert by Cholsey Silver Band in Castle Gardens for which we provided refreshments, raising £500 for the group.

Thank you to everyone who baked and bought cakes. Particular thanks to Lucy and Ruth and all helpers including Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

AGM and Band Concert 2019

2nd Wallingford Scout Group will be providing tea and cake in the Castle Gardens on Sunday 23rd June for the Band Concert by Cholsey Silver Band from 3pm.

The Town Council has given us permission to hold our Group AGM ahead of that and to celebrate 10 years of our Beaver Colony with a picnic.

We’d love you to come and share in the celebration and hear about the activities of the Group over the course of the last year.

Please bring a picnic and meet us there – 1pm for 1.30pm. We look forward to seeing you …

Scout Post Delivers over 5200 cards

December 2018 saw our biggest Scout Post in recent years. Over 2 sorting nights, we handled 5286 cards!

Of those, 2891 were for addresses in Wallingford and 2349 for the villages. We had 46 ‘out of area’ cards; this year’s most out of area card was for an address in Wales.  

Thank you everybody who used the service, and to all the volunteers who helped sort and deliver cards.

Scout Post 2018

Beginning in early December, 2nd Wallingford Scouts will once again be running the Scout Christmas Post. Local cards can be posted in special Scout Post boxes found in various businesses in Wallingford. The delivery area for 2nd Wallingford Scouts is Wallingford, Winterbrook and Shillingford Hill.
We will be working with other local scout groups, to also allow delivery to Benson, Preston Crowmarsh, Roke, Rokemarsh, Berrick Salome, Shillingford, Warborough, Ewelme, Cholsey, Moulsford, Crowmarsh, North & South Stoke and Brightwell-cum-Sotwell.
Postage costs 25p and post boxes can be found in KP Stationers, House of …
